* 1997 final exam for University entrance
* 1997-2003 studying Biology at the University of Vienna -> graduated as Master of Science (MSc)
* 2003-2007 working on my doctoral thesis in Vienna -> graduation as
Doctor of Life Sciences (PhD)
Before finishing my MSc I have gone through a 1-month kindergarden internship.
After graduation I have worked at the University of Vienna as tutor and contract teacher of Biology students.
Except for these experiences I often translated scientific publications for my international colleagues and taught Japanese friends German on a private bases.
My home town Vienna (Austria) is a charming little city with cultural highlights at every corner and especially classical music is highly appreciated here.
I am an natural scientist. From March/ April 2009 I will live in Tokyo. I have been in Japan twice already and it fascinated me very much indeed!
My hobbies are reading, writing crime stories, meeting friends, watching films, learning new languages, going to (art) museums and learing about science in general.
My motto as a language teacher is to have fun with the pupils! A good teacher should be most patient and create a joyful surrounding for the students to encourage them.
I would like to use as many different methods of learning as possible - only an excited mind wants to learn!
Absolute German beginners should have profound knowledge of English.
Specials: whole families or mothers with small children ok; bring your best friend and learn together; special lessons for women only; etc.
Nobody is too young or too old to learn!
Let's save this issue for one of our first lessons! :D
